The Italian Department of Civil Protection in collaboration with the Villa Montesca Foundation, will host the second edition of the “Specialized Training Course on the Safeguard of Cultural Heritage” to be held in Città di Castello (PG), Italy, from 30 July to 4 August 2017.
28 delegates coming from all the country partners of the project will arrive in Città di Castello to participate in the training program, which foresees both theoretical and practical sessions. The course aims at providing all the participants with knowledge of the international recognized tools, actions and methods available for the safeguard of endangered cultural heritage during emergencies and in their aftermath. The subject covered will include: damage and risk assessment, documentation, prioritization, security and stabilization of cultural assets. The course is organized in collaboration with ICCROM.
The course will last five days, and an additional day to undertake a study visit in the two storages of cultural heritage objects located in Santo Chiodo (PG) and Cittàducale (RI), established following the Central Italy earthquake of 2016.
